How to use Essential Oils

Modified on Wed, 31 Jul at 4:03 PM

ON THE SKIN

Never apply undiluted essential oils directly onto the skin. See our range of curated essential oil roll-on’s that have been specially blended with natural carrier oils for optimal use and benefits.

STEAM INHALATIONS

Add 3-4 drops of essential oil into a bowl of hot water, ensuring it is not boiling. Keeping your face 25cm away from the water, cover your head with a towel and lean over the bowl. Breathe deeply to soothe and open sinuses. Do not steam longer than two minutes at a time. This therapy may provide temporary relief from symptoms of cold and flu. Keep your eyes closed to prevent eye irritation.

AROMATHERAPY BATH

Add 4-6 drops of essential oil to running warm water. Make sure that the oil is evenly dispersed in the water. For extra moisturising, add 10mL of carrier oil (eg: Coconut Oil) in the same way. Essential oils may mark certain baths so please ensure that the oil is properly dispersed and that the bath is wiped down immediately after use.

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

Add 3-4 drops of essential oil to 10ml of carrier oil (eg: Coconut Oil) and ensure these are well blended before gently massaging over the skin. The oils will be absorbed into the body through your skin, working to improve general wellbeing from within.
