Why is this product being recalled?

The timer switch mechanism on the oil burner can pop out and expose the live electric parts of the oil burner.

What's the hazard and should I do anything?

There is a risk of serious injury or death from electric shock if the switch mechanism pops out and exposes live electric parts. There is also a risk of burns and damage to property if the oil burner catches fire due to this switch defect.

I've bought one of the affected Electric Oil Burner Products online but have not received it yet, what should I do?

Once your product arrives, we ask that you return it to your nearest dusk store. If you're unable to return it to a store, please chat with our Customer Service team here to arrange an alternative solution.

I've received one of the recalled products as a gift, what do I do?

Please bring the product to your nearest dusk store for a full refund.

I don’t have my original receipt – am I still eligible for a refund?

Complementary products purchased for the Electric Oil Burner can be refunded along with the recalled product.

I have a dusk Electric Oil Burner that is not on the recall list, is my product faulty?

Defect: dusk Australasia Pty Ltd’s Halloween LED products do not have a secure button battery compartment that is resistant to being opened by young children.

Hazard: If swallowed, a button/coin battery can become stuck in a child’s throat and result in catastrophic injuries and even death. Insertion of button/coin batteries into body orifices such as ears and noses can also lead to significant injuries.
